St. Peter's founder Eric Dudley resigns amid allegations of harassment, alcohol abuse

From Florida-

Father Eric Dudley, the founder and leader of Tallahassee’s St. Peter’s Anglican Church, has resigned, according to the church’s bishop, after admitting to a pattern of inappropriate behavior, including harassment, alcohol abuse and “undesired physical displays of affection.”

In a letter sent to parishioners Tuesday evening, Gulf Atlantic Diocese’s Bishop The Rt. Rev. Neil G. Lebhar said complaints about Dudley were brought to him during the senior priest’s sabbatical and an inquiry was launched.

“Father Dudley admitted to inappropriate treatment of others, abuse of alcohol, and anger issues,” Lebhar wrote. “The complaints included patterns of undesired physical displays of affection which were deeply damaging to others and contrary to diocesan harassment policy.”
