'Rise and Shine' fundraiser Saturday
The "Rise and Shine" breakfast fundraiser benefiting the Agape Café will be from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Old Brick Church, 26 E. Market St.
The Agape Café has provided fresh food for 16 years to low-income and homeless residents in Iowa City.
Café volunteers invite the community to come experience the breakfast they serve every Wednesday morning for a free-will donation. A donation of $40 would buy the café groceries for a week.
The menu will include pancakes, eggs benedict, biscuits and gravy, eggs any style, bacon or sausage, home fries, fresh fruit, juice, milk and Café del Sol coffee.
The Agape Café is a mission of the Episcopal Campus Ministry at the University of Iowa.
