Rowan Williams and the Pope in historic meet

From The London Times-

The Archbishop of Canterbury has met with the Pope today in the wake of the Vatican’s move to 'poach' Anglican clergy.

Dr Rowan Williams held talks with Benedict XVI in Rome for the first time since the Pope approved a decree to accept Anglicans.

Pope Benedict is offering Anglican clergy the chance to transfer to the Roman Catholic Church, while maintaining many of their traditions and practices, including the right to marry.

The Vatican has been accused of exploiting divisions in the Church of England at a time when many Anglicans are angry over the ordination of women bishops.
