From Mississippi-The Episcopal Diocese of Mississippi has issued a call for the removal of the Confederate battle flag from the state’s flag, and the creation of a new state banner which “represents, unites, and respects the dignity of all the citizens of Mississippi.”
A resolution, recently approved by the 189th Annual Council of the diocese, supports the position of religious leaders who demonstrated at the State Capitol on Thursday.
