Gates Mills: St. Christopher's gets help

From Ohio- (with video) Sort of ironic when you know the legend of St. Christopher.

The Episcopal church that sits on Old Mill Road in downtown Gates Mills backs right up to the Chagrin River by the pedestrian bridge.

Today the 104-year-old dam just a few hundred feet upriver by Deerfield Road failed, sending water surging down the Chagrin River towards Mayfield Village, Willoughby, Willoughby Hills and Eastlake.

When several passersby saw the water creeping into St. Christopher's, they went inside and helped move some of the church's items up off the floor to safety.
