Rev. George Browning of Canberra speaking about the Church's responsibility to the environment.
“The church has only itself to blame for giving the impression that it is in the business of saving souls only,” Bishop Browning said. The environment is “what we are about,” he told reporters on July 26.
My under-graduate degree is in environmental science and I'm hoping he was either misquoted or misspoke because I thought the Church was about Jesus.

i don't know anything about rev, browning or his theology, but i believe that the church falls short of the whole of the gospel when it pits the cross against care for the earth. (i don't think you are doing this, but among some evangelicals there is a definite trend of presenting the two as a false choice to be made.)
following Jesus faithfully and seeking to be a faithful steward of the environment is not an either/or but a both/and calling. we honor Christ as Creator by caring for creation.
