Episcopalian presiding bishop in U.S. visiting Jersey City

From New Jersey-

Sidney King said it was “persistence.”

For two years, Incarnation Church invited The Most Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori, the presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church in the U.S., to visit their church for their centennial, which will close this Sunday. And Jefferts Schori has accepted and will preside and preach.

“We are excited and elated,” said King, the senior warden at the church for the last five years.
King also thinks Bishop Mark Beckwith of the Episcopal Diocese of Newark put in a good word.
Now everyone will wait to hear the words she will share to this historic congregation, which was founded in 1910 as a church of color to accept blacks who were not welcome in the established churches of Jersey City.
